One of the most technically accomplished daiginjo’s available, Zen is made by the Naniwa Brewery in Osaka. This elegant and extremely fine sake is a match made in heaven with Mediterranean cuisine; sautéed or steamed vegetables, and comes highly recommended with ratatouille. Zen reminds one of a classic New Zealand Sauvignon-Blanc and is a fascinatingly contrasting combination of New, Old, and Eastern Worlds. Zen can be drunk cold or hot, both offering great outcomes.
A lime green hue on its crystal clear body illustrates the delicacy of this refined sake. Notes of tinned sweet-corn and rustic vegetables sit on the nose. Hints of aubergine and spicy green pepper create a fresh and dynamic palate whilst sweeter flavours of melon and tropical fruit are found in its warmth. An exquisite dry sake, superb with food.
